  2. 1. Living for the Weekend – Hard Fi
    2. Friday I’m in Love – The Cure

As it’s Monday I’m too depressed to pick more than 2 songs, I may revert back later in the weekend with some snappy Sinbad-esque material

  3. Woo! Thanks for this! Here goes it…my favorite tunes for after work actually don’t really involve names with “Friday” or “Weekend” in them…but they just make you want to dance about like crazy.

    The Ramones – Let’s Dance.
The Cure – Friday, I’m in Love.
The Easybeats – Friday On My Mind.
Snap – Rhythm is a Dancer.

  9. OK the weekend is getting nearer so I’m caving in with 3 more:

Bachelorette by Bjork. Performed by the Maynooth Guitar Orchestra at the NCG last night, great show, great tune.

Need Your Lovin’ Tonight by Queen. From The Game album, this is the first album they abandoned their “No Syths” vow, although this tune has a great little kick to it.

All Revved Up with No Place to Go by Meat Loaf. A great tune about wanting to get some action on the weekend. Simple really!

  10. Long Line of Cars – Cake

    Blankest Year – Nada Surf
The song starts, “Oh fuck it, I’m gonna have a party”. How subtle.

Having an Average Weekend – Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet
For those Canadians out there, this is the theme song from Kids in the Hall.

I Got Drunk – Uncle Tupelo
    More subtle still

    Saturday – The Judybats

I Need Better Friends – Cracker
